HIV/AIDS Survey Indicators Database
The HIV/AIDS Survey Indicators Database allows users throughout the world to access DHS and other national survey results and evaluation data at the click of a mouse. The database is designed to provide concise, accessible sources of HIV/AIDS data, which can be reported cross sectionally and on a time line. Users of the database can optionally generate data tables and comprehensive country reports for selected surveys, indicators, background characteristics
The database is designed to be global in scope, eventually covering all countries for which indicators are available. The database uses as a foundation the set of indicators jointly adopted with minor variations by UNAIDS and USAID in 2000, and indicators identified to monitor the goals set at the UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on HIV/AIDS, and the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). Currently, the main sources of HIV/AIDS indicators in the database are the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS), the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS), the Reproductive Health Surveys (RHS), the Sexual Behavior Surveys (SBS), and Behavioral Surveillance Surveys (BSS).

HIV Datasets
MEASURE DHS makes survey datasets available to responsible researchers. Many surveys include national voluntary HIV testing of respondents. Datasets showing test results and variables to link them to other findings from the DHS or AIS are available for most recent DHS and AIS surveys. Learn more about MEASURE DHS datasets.
