Abstract: Several aspects of the relationship between residential mobility and contraceptive choice and use in northeastern Brazil, based on the 1991 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), are investigated in this paper. The DHS collected detailed information on pregnancies, contraceptive use, marriage, employment, and residential mobility, based on a six-year monthly calendar of events.
