Abstract: This report highlights important trends in key population, family planning, and health indicators in Ghana over the past four to five decades. In particular, the report addresses the prevailing demographic situation and describes trends in fertility, family planning, and maternal and child health, including infant and child mortality. It was prepared to provide policymakers and programme administrators the information needed to assess the current situation and to design more effective population, family planning, and maternal and child health programmes.
