Abstract: The purpose of this report is to evaluate the date of first union and first birth, and age at first sexual intercourse for data that were collected during the second phase of the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS II) program. A similar analysis was done for DHS I. In this report, data for 21 DHS II surveys are evaluated -11 from sub-Saharan Africa, 5 from North Africa/Asia, and 5 from Latin America.
