Abstract: Abstract: The article reports on the results of research which was conducted in India on maternal height and its relationship with children's health and risk of death. Researchers analyzed data from the 2005-2006 Indian National Family Health Survey, which evaluated 48,075 children. They found that maternal height is associated with children's risk of death before the age five or with other adverse health outcomes in children. They also found that taller mothers seemed to generally have healthier children.
